In general, the LED integrated light source uses COFB packaging technology to directly encapsulate LED grains on a uniform temperature plate or a copper substrate to form a polycrystalline network. The COB light source is a high power integrated surface light source, which is an integrated surface light source technology which directly attaches the LED light emitting chip to a high -reflectivity mirror metal substrate.

The COB lighting source packages a small power chip on a PCB card. Compared to the ordinary low power of SMD, it has higher brightness, smaller thermal resistance, faster heat dissipation, smaller light decrease and a longer lifespan.

Although some people encapsulate the light SMD light sources with aluminum substrates are also called integrated LEDs, it is not a COB light source, so in general, COB lighting sources are all integrated LED light sources, but integrated LED lighting sources are not all COB light sources.

1. There are few steps to make the COB display screen, not as complicated as the SMD packaged LED display screen (LED display screen), there is no patch, reflux welding and other processes, and it is more reliable;

2. The spacing is smaller, the more pixels are displayed in units, the image is more full and the colors are brighter;

3. The LED display wrapped in a corner completely seals the device on the PCB card, the device is not exposed, the level of protection is stronger and touch it, the tremors and there is no drop of light during transport. Once the product has been put into service, the maintenance rate is almost 0;

4. The surface light source emits light. Effectively remove molar models, allowing people to look closely for a long time without injuring their eyes;

5. Faster heat dissipation and longer lifespan: the heat is directly dissipated through the PCB card, the thermal resistance value is small and the dissipation of heat is better. Without the accumulation of heat, the lifespan of electronic products will naturally become longer;

The COB screen is the future with a small LED step and is the first choice for the space below 1.0 mm. There is no conflict between the two. It’s just that ordinary LED screens cannot meet the customer’s more precise display requirements in the SMD packaging process, and cannot make a smaller height, so the COB display screen was born.
